Douglas Kosmatka Obituary

Passed away at his home on February 21, 2018 at the age of 59.  He is survived by his sons, Andrew, Joseph and John and their mother Gayle Kosmatka.  Dear Brother of Michael (Julie), James, Thomas, Bradley, Jule.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rosemary (nee McShane) Kosmatka, sisters, Patrice and Margaret, brother, Gary Kosmatka as well as numerous other dear relatives and friends.  Doug worked hard for many years in the Trucking Industry and at times he was as hard as the pavement he covered, but he loved to laugh.  When you shared a laugh with him it was often long and loud.   Doug was blessed with a second family of caring and giving friends that will miss him dearly.   He was a one of kind, unique individual who will now share his sarcasm, wit and wise cracking love with those who preceded him to eternal life.  A Celebration and Memories of Doug's life will be shared on Monday, March 5th at Joseph E. Sass Funeral Home beginning at 2:30 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 5:00 P.M.  Following the Prayer Service the family will proceed to Jersey's Pub & Grill for a Celebration in Doug's Honor.
