Daniel Lee

Daniel “Dan” Lee was born on September 12, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana. He was primarily raised in southern Indiana but spent several of his teenage years living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dan was a Vietnam Veteran, having served with the 101st Airborne Division.

Daniel was married twice. During his first marriage, he had four children: Daniel Jr., Cynthia, Donta and Jedediah. He also has several grandchildren from those children. He later married, his wife of almost 37 years, Judy. Together, they raised two daughters: Valerie (Chris) Gullicksen and Kayla Lee. Dan was “papa” to Benjamin whom he was fortunate to love on for the last five years.  Daniel was also a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and he will be missed by many. 

For almost fifteen years, Dan was a dialysis patient. During those years, he faced death several times but always bounced back. The last visit, for a major surgery, proved to be too much for him and he passed away, peacefully in his sleep, on November 22nd, 2020.

The family would like to say a special THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Community Memorial Hospital, now known as Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital. Not only was Daniel a regular patient at the hospital, he also retired from there after working for many years in Environmental Services.

A small visitation (inspired by Covid) will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Milwaukee, located at 7727 West Center Street. Visitation will be held from 11am until noon and a semi-private service will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Joseph E Sass Funeral Home, located at 1019 West Oklahoma Avenue.
