Gordon Dale “Gordy” Wunrow, 63, of Pearson, Wisconsin passed away on December 24, 2023, in Milwaukee. He was born to James and Ruth Wunrow and survived by sister Janet Wunrow, brother Douglas Wunrow, nephew Rob Wunrow and close family and friends.
Gordy attended South Division High School in Milwaukee and graduated from there. After completing his education, he embarked on a successful career as a Transmission Repair Specialist. For 37 years, Gordy dedicated his expertise to Aamco/Accurate Transmissions in the Milwaukee area. In the latter part of his career, he joined Charlie’s Automotive and Transmissions in the Antigo, Wisconsin area where he continued to excel in his field.
Outside of work, Gordy had many passions and hobbies. He possessed incredible skills in small engine repair and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Gordy found solace in fishing and restoring vintage outboard motors. These activities brought him great joy and allowed him to showcase his mechanical talents.
A Celebration of Life Service for Gordy will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Arbutus Lutheran Church located on Hwy 55 in Pearson, WI 54462. Internment to take place directly after the service.
Gordy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy as a skilled mechanic and his generosity towards others will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Memorials to the family to be designated later.
