Herb Jarosz

Herbert Gregory "Herb" Jarosz - Age 92, passed away on March 12, 2022. He is survived by his wife Therese (nee Heinen) of 65 years; sons, James (Carol) Jarosz, John (Julie) Jarosz, Matthew (Sharon) Jarosz; daughters, Mary Jo (James) Cusack, and Sally O'Brien; 21 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Bogrand; other relatives and friends.

Herb graduated from Pulaski High School in 1947 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1952. After graduation, he was drafted in the US Army during the Korean conflict and was assigned to the Adjutant General's Office in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Herb participated in the Atomic Bomb Testing Program in 1953 and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1954. He was a high school teacher in the Jefferson and Milwaukee school systems during the next two years and after marrying "Terry" in 1956 he became the Milwaukee manager of overseas ship agencies for the next 37 years.

During his retirement years he enjoyed tennis, golf, sheepshead and gardening. He sang in the Resurrection Choir at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hales Corners, delivered bakery for St. Vincent de Paul Society, did volunteer escort service at West Allis Memorial Hospital and was a Wehr Nature Center volunteer.

Visitation will be March 22, 2022 at 10am, at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners, WI; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am; private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Vincent de Paul Society or to a charity of your choice will be appreciated.
