Ipolito Fonseca, 53, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ipolito is also known as Gordo and Hippo. He is survived by his beloved partner Brenda Franco and his three children, Cecely Marie Fonseca, Nathan Hipolito Fonseca, Jessica Danielle Reyes, and four step-children, Rosemarie Millian, Noel Rosado Jr, Melissa Rosado, and Thalia Clemente. Fourteen grandchildren also survive him.
He was such a great person. He was always there whenever needed; all you had to do was call. Whether it was taking the grandchildren on an adventure through the park or helping break tents at camping. I mean help setting up tents for camping. Ipolito loved being outdoors. He loved camping, walking on trails, picnics in new areas, and biking through the city. He truly loved his family, whether from far away or here in the same town. Suppose you didn’t see him outside making friends with strangers. He was inside, always finding the right movie to watch for movie time. Don’t get him started about aliens because that would have been never-ending conversations about conspiracies. Or he was inside feeding his fur babies Benny and Tikis food from his plate.
He was also a very hard-working man. He was a jack of all trades, whether it was long summers working for the union doing construction or foundry work or helping friends with small businesses like security jobs or cleaning—also, a plumber when someone would always come over and clog the toilet.
He also had the biggest heart. He loved Brenda Franco so much. He would take her on some adventure through Chicago or seven bridges. They would go in their Bronco and have picnics around the city with Benny and Tikis. He was always very thoughtful, whether making breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or sending her videos telling her how much he loved and appreciated her.
