James Lenzke Obituary

James Lenzke and Dawn Weis began their journey through love and life together in the year 1977, and on May 18, 1994, would become husband and wife, forever binding their souls in a fury of love and unwavering faithfulness. Together they brought warmth and light into this world. After Dawn's unfortunate passing on May 8, 2013, the bond both she and James shared was not broken, but, simply separated by worldly boundaries. James did the best he could to bring the same warmth and light into this world, but his soul was yearning greatly for its better half. And so, on September 16, 2023, an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and resting on James' bedside whispered into his ear saying "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Dawn. Come follow me, and I will show you where she awaits you." At that moment James ascended into heaven, and reunited with Dawn, rekindling the firey love and light they were destined to share. Therefore, let us no longer mourn, but rejoice, for we know in our hearts, that James and Dawn now dance together, forever -- to a song of eternal embrace.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings, Fredrick (Sandy) Lenzke, Jacqueline (the late Rudy) Benavides and October "Tobie" Dymond, his dog and faithful companion, Tia, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special Thanks to Froedtert West and The Kathy Hospice for their care. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (nee Zimny) and sister, Kathleen Smith.

Jim and Dawn will be laid to rest together at Wisconsin Memorial Park 13235 West Capitol Dr. Brookfield on Thursday, September 28th at 12:00 NOON. Immediately following the interment a celebration of Jim and Dawn's love and warmth will be shared at one of their favorite places, The Brick Pub and Grill 6343 North Green Bay Avenue Glendale, WI 53209.
