Our precious Mom is now resting in heaven after her courageous battle with cancer. Mom is the
heart of our family; she fought hard all the way to the end. Mom lost Dad, Fredrick Basina, at a
very young age. She was the strongest woman that proudly raised four beautiful children: late
Christopher (Cheryl) Basina, Late Rachel (Mark Z.), Late Michele Firkus and surviving son Andy
(Amy) Basina. Mom fondly worked for the Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee Business Journal and Daily Reporter for
many years until retiring. She enjoyed family cookouts, pool parties, going to bingo and holiday
get togethers. She was a proud Grandma of Rocky (Cindy), Cori (Tiny), Chris Jr. (Tiffani), Alex,
Becca (Austin), Kim (Ethan), and Ken (Bella). She was proud GG to seventeen Great Grandkids
that loved her deeply. She will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends.
Heaven gained an Angel, rest in peace, we will see you again on the other side. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday Jan. 15th from 10AM until time of services at 12NOON. Interment to follow St. Adalbert Cemetery. A special thank you to all staff at Southpointe Care and Rehab Center, all the staff on the 7th
floor ICU at West Allis Memorial and the staff at Dr. Ruggeri Oncology for taking great care of
