Rachel Basina

Rachel Marie Basina, 52, took her last breath on July 10th 2021. After being diagnosed with cancer of multiple organs in April 2021 she fought hard through pain and illness but unfortunately the cancer spread so rapidly that within two months she lost her battle.

Rachel was a devoted wife, a dedicated mother and grandmother, loving daughter and sister, caring aunt, cousin and friend and she lived to help make others happy. She is survived by her husband Mark, her daughter Cori (James) her sons Alex and Ken (Bella), step-daughters Kelly and Kayla and her grandkids Alana, Melina, Noelia, Laila, James "Jimmy", Joshua, Jaden, Damon, Aryanna, Kiara and Kyon. She is further survived by her mother Janet, brothers Andy (Amy) and Chris (Cheryl),  cousins Renee (Jack) and Rhonda (Pete) nieces Becca (Austin), Kim (Bryce), Veronica (Jerry), Marissa (Kyle), nephews Chris Jr. (Tiffani), Rocky (Cynthia) and so many other close relatives, life-long friends and co-workers.

Rachel obtained her Associates degree at Alverno College and worked as a medical transcriptionist for over 20 years. She loved to jam out to her favorite rock and roll songs and loved a hot sunny summer day but also loved a roaring thunderstorm. She loved to go to festivals and concerts, have bonfires and be with family and friends. She loved her family with a passion that is hard to compare. She loved to put a smile on a person's face and when it came to Rachel, she would do anything to make her loved ones happy. We can find peace in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is now resting with her beloved sister Michele and father Fred. She will truly be missed.

Visitation Friday, July 16th at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services. Funeral Services Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
