Shirley (Skonecki) Rick

Passed away after a difficult struggle with pulmonary fibrosis with her daughters by her side on August 15, 2023, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald. Beloved mom of Lori (Rick) Zareczny and Lisa (Mark) Skiba. Cherished grandma of Ryan (Mikaela), Stephanie, Britney (Joseph), Alyssa (Yamil). Great grandma of Kaydon, Oliver, Charlotte, and Emma. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shirley's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a non-profit that she was passionate about helping the children. 

Mom faced many challenges with breast cancer, heart disease, progressive blindness, and pulmonary fibrosis. She always had a positive attitude and never gave up. She was truly an inspiration to all. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21st at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 524 W. Historic Mitchell Street. at 10:00 a.m. Visitation at church from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
