In 1928, Joseph E. Sass opened our funeral home, serving the community until his death in 1958 when his wife, the late Agnes F. Sass began running the funeral home. Agnes ran the day-to-day operations until 1964, when their son, Norman J. Sass, took over the family business.
In 2020, Norman decided to step down from day to day operations and transferred ownership of the funeral home to Robert F. Prostek. Robert is the proud owner of Peace of Mind Funeral and Cremation Services and has over 30 years of experience in helping families celebrate the lives of their loved ones with the services that suit them. He enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles and spending time boating on local waterways.
In 2003, Becky (Rebecca) Osse joined the staff at Joseph E. Sass Funeral Home and has been serving families with compassionate, friendly, and knowledgeable service. She is a graduate of St. Joan Antida High School and a 2004 graduate of the Milwaukee Area Technical College Funeral Service program. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her two young daughters. Together they volunteer around Southeast Wisconsin in various capacities- especially with Girl Scouts.
